The Earth’s Bounty: Why All of This Should Be Free for All of Us

Updated: Mar 31

The planet is ours for free.

The earth provides food, air, water, and energy to every living being without asking for anything in return. Nothing. These resources sustain life itself, yet in many parts of the world, access to them comes with a price tag and poor justifications for the price tag.

The Foundation of Life Comes Without a Price

Every living organism depends on the earth’s natural gifts. Food nourishes bodies, water hydrates cells, air fills lungs, and energy powers ecosystems. These resources are not man-made commodities but gifts from nature that have existed long before these economies developed. Charging for access to these Free essentials is absurd.

The idea of charging individuals simply for being alive, is not in sync with the universe and its purpose, to freely support and sustain life.

Why Basic Resources Should Be Free

Equality and Fairness

Nature does not discriminate. The air we breathe and the water we drink are shared by all living beings. When these resources are commodified, it creates inequality. Wealthier individuals or nations can secure better access, while less fortunate populations suffer shortages or contamination caused by greed and immorality. Making these essentials free ensures fairness and equal opportunity for everyone to thrive.

Supporting Ecosystems and Biodiversity

Plants and animals rely on the same resources as humans. When access to water or energy is restricted or polluted, entire ecosystems suffer. For instance, over-extraction of water for industrial use can dry up rivers, threatening fish and wildlife. Protecting the earth’s bounty by keeping it free encourages sustainable use and conservation, benefiting all life forms.

Promoting Health and Well-being

Access to clean air, water, and nutritious food is fundamental to health. When these are priced beyond reach, people may resort to unsafe alternatives, leading to disease, malnutrition and crime. Free access reduces health disparities and supports stronger communities. Water and food produced by nature should be demanded without compromise until human health is restored as a common actionable interest.

Challenges in Providing Free Access

We hear this often, that the idea of free basic resources poses practical challenges. Infrastructure costs for clean water delivery, energy production, and food distribution require "funding" and that governments and organizations must find ways to cover these expenses without passing costs onto consumers.

"They got money for wars but can't feed the poor" - Tupac Shakur. This unfortunate reality is seen by all and displays a lack of humanity and accountability. A falsity to maintain status and control over one's conscious knowledge. Unity and love are required to the spirit of giving and becoming one with one's true purpose.

Access to free food is a human right that somehow became a debatable discussion amongst those who have plenty. GAWDS are inherently empathetic for others and are in sync with the calling of nature to feed its creations and maintain them in healthy abundance.
